LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Lakers may be saying so long to Metta World Peace.
An Orange County Register reporter says the team plans to use its amnesty provision to cut Metta, formerly known as Ron Artest, from its roster.
The Lakers cannot formally waive him until Wednesday, but 33-year-old strong-forward took to Twitter Monday night to joke about the situation.

In June, Metta decided not to opt out of the final year of his five-year contract with the Lakers.
The 14-year NBA veteran played in 75 games in 2013, averaging 33.7 minutes per game and earning a .403 field-goal percentage.
